harvest.



the picture above is this morning's harvest Lauren & I gathered from the garden: sugarsnap peas, silver beet, baby carrots, spring onions & a bunch of brightly-coloured sweetpeas I grew from spindly little seedlings. we also picked a zucchini (raised by me from seed-- I'm kind of insanely proud) & a generous handful of sweet, ripe strawberries-- but they were eaten pretty quickly. :) other things we're growing & eating are cabbage, cauliflower, celery & broccoli, & still to come are potatoes, peppers & a myriad of varieties of tomatoes.

it's so nice to wander into the back yard & emerge again a while later with armfuls of delicious home-grown, organic food. ♥

  1. I totally agree. It's soul satisfying. We have had an organic garden for the last 13 years.

    Seeing your yummy produce makes me eager for spring.
