the Gypsy Fair comes to our town once or twice a year: a glorious tumble of caravans and housebuses that unload a riot of colour and music across the grass circle at the beach. you can buy handcrafted silver jewellery and ethnic clothing, get your fingers sticky with spun sugar, or have your palm read and your fortune told. or, you can sit and sip coffee sold from the bright blue caravan bedecked with sequins and watch the bellydancers weave their magic out of the air.
I sometimes think that I'd like to have a life like this: a home that moves beneath my feet, surrounded by creativity and a never-ending sense of freedom. to be able to wake up beside the ocean on one day, and at the foot of the mountains the next, well. that sounds just about perfect to me. :)
