day 8.

there is nothing better to brighten up a rainy day than a lovely present, and Fiona Mortimore provided exactly that with her gift for the 8th day of our art exchange. :) inside the beautifully-wrapped red parcel were not one, but two wonderful creations, yay!

the first: a hand-stitched bookmark made from gorgeous fabric that reminds me of the tie-dye patterns from the 70s. my inner hippie is thrilled-- I love tie-dye stuff. :)



and the second: a hanging ornament in cream linen fabric, with red stitching to highlight the fabulous folkart design created around a central heart image, which just so happens to be another favourite of mine. :)
