day five.

I can't believe we're up to day five already! I would dearly love to have fabulous arty gifts to open every morning, please. ;)

today's package contained a gift created by Arlene Travnik-- a collaged wallet made from fabric and vintage papers.



underneath the gauzy, ethereal top layer are stitched sections that she has filled with various trinkets and ephemera, like this vintage key set amongst a scatter of tiny gold stars. so very awesome. :)



my photos really don't do this piece justice-- it's so cleverly done, and most definitely something I will treasure. thank you, Arlene! :)
